ARE YOU A RESPONSIBLE STEWARD?

Happy new year!
Im sure we are all happy of the fact that the lord has allowed us see yet another year!Great is thy faithfulness oh Lord.As the year unveils, many of us have set our resolutions whilst others have a new 'to do list'whether on a monthly or weekly basis. All said and done.did you know that you are a steward?Yes a steward!

A steward is simply a person entitled to manage another persons property.Psalm 24 ;1-2 states very clearly that the earth is the Lord's and everything in it,the world and all who live in it.
You and I belong to the lord.We donot belong to ourselves(1st cor 6;19).We are all accountable to God.

Everything that we have is not ours,we are only stewards. That child is not yours, they belong to God.As a steward, given the responsibility of nurturing that child, are you taking full responsibility?what service are you offering?are you helping them grow in the ways of the lord?if the master was to rate you, could you manage attaining over 52%????

As a businessperson, are you using the right measures in carrying out that business?(Prov 11;1)Are you genuine in that business working as unto the lord and not as to man!Well im sure you will take keen consideration about that.

There is something that has been annoying me and quite sure you will concur with my sentiments.Ever seen someone in a matatu peel a banana, greedily take it then shamelessly throws off the banana peel off the window and as if nothing has happened, opens a soda, swallows it within seconds  again throws off the can!!!!!!!!!!This act leaves me wondering, whats really running in someones mind! When will people know that we ARE STEWARDS OF GODS ENVIRONMENT!
Before you tell me that city county staff are employed to do that work,(cleaning)think of it this way, aint that person e also entitled to their own human dignity????just the way  you cant work in a desk that is dusty and full of unclean cups and plates, our fellow kenyans also need a conducive environment in carrying out their duties.

What if all of us took our snacks in the matatu and safely place the leftovers and waste  in our bags till we alight and dispose them properly in the designated bins? How about you leaving the sink clean even if your neighbour will still wash their dishes?what if we left the washrooms better than we found them?Suppose we were kind enough to recycle the supermarket paperbags instead of throwing them allover? How would Kenya be if we all respected and heed to"usikojoe hapa'signs irrespective of how pressed we are???

Dear ones, this will start with you and me trying our best to be good and responsible stewards. We are all stewards in taking care of Kenya and thus accountable to God who has found it worth for us to be in Kenya(Acts 17;27).Im shocked that despite the big signage'HELP US KEEP NAIROBI CLEAN'...majority of us still litter .Kenya is a beautiful country and it will be even better if we all owned up to be good stewards.

Squeeze this point in your resolutions, that in 2017,il be a responsible steward not only to my friends and relatives but to my mother land as well. This means that anytime you fail, you will be guilty thus keeping you on check to avoid repeating the err next time.

Happy reading!
