AN EMBRACE OF LOVE

Its exactly five days to the awaited  Valentines day!A day when most people if not all of us make merry,enjoy friendship as well as cement their love to their lovers through a gift, a night out and many activities that lovers  engage in.Do not be amused when you find ladies in red cute dresses wheres men get a touch of red either in ties,t shirts or pocket square.Many people cherish this day!im sure there so many memories you have,  attached to this day whether good or bad.Id say that if its really a big day for you,go forth and rejoice!enjoy every second of that day..Maximize every opportunity that comes with valentines day. Theres nothing wrong with having fun and making merry.The lord himself urges us to be ware of times and seasons and respond effectively in prov 11;25,the bible clearly records that in good times we rejoice while in bad times,we consider;

While contemplating on the meaning of love in  this month of love,my mind cant let go of a group of people who more occasionally than not seem to be forgotten.They actually seem not to exist and if they really do,then in the subconscious not consciously. Im addressing those people who the lord has created in his image and likeness,handsome men and beautiful women who we call singles!

That lady who teaches the Sunday school in your church,beautiful as she is but as far as love is concerned,they have no clue of what it entails neither do they understand why at times it leaves them hurting.She serves faithfully in the ministry. God has entrusted her with nurturing your children in the ways of God.Her joy is almost complete when the little ones capture that  Ephesians 5;1-3 memory verse and can eloquently memorize it.However,it breaks her heart to imagine that she should be teaching her own flesh and blood the same memory verse since the whole sundayschool team comprises of her college friends kids'. Yes,she actually graduated before them in college.Worse off,a woman happens to approach her asking what shes waiting for and shes already in her late thirties!!! Shes hurt, but has nothing to do.love has never knocked her door.

That Handsome guy who has volunteered to assist the youth pastor nurture the young men and women in church.He feels that his ministry is to help the teenagers transition to adulthood in fear and reverence to God.Hes actually called to see these teens love God the more besides the hullabaloos that come along with adolescence.He feels proud seeing a guy graduate from campus having not left the way of righteousness.It brings him much joy listening to stories of how the cu campus has been strong and how they are planning high school missions in their campus.What a relief,when one of the teens give their life to Christ or is delivered from pornography/masturbation!He actually frequents prayer centers to plead with God on behalf of this group the lord entrusted him with.

Despite all these efforts,the society feels hes not up to standard!Reason being,his age mates are enrolling their children to class two and three whereas he does not have a girlfriend,let alone a kid!!!.All his joy in ministry  life is short-lived after hearing a gossip of how hes not bothered in getting a better half!The rumour mongers who happens to be hired by the devil breaks his heart and revives very ill memories of his life.Our brother feels as an outcast if not a bad omen!He has so many questions that not even an angel can answer but God the father himself.

Christians as we call ourselves yet within us,many have allowed the enemy to use them to  intimidate others.Striking the very area that brings them down in seconds.Many of these singles have purposed in their hearts to seek the lord while working in his vineyard.Its a decision they have made not to defile themselves with the kings delicacies among the people of their time.Many of them will never open up,but if only you knew how much they fast for this issue!do you have a hint of the many times they have frequented prayer centers not for anything else,but seeking the lord over this issue of love?If only their pillows could give a testimony!!!! how about the many nights they have spent in tears pursuing the lord as they wait for the heavens to open up??

None of us will understand the intensity of this issue or even fathom their feelings over this.They respect us so much and our knowledge of the scriptures, so when you think telling them that"in Gods time everything will be beautiful makes any difference,what you didn't know is that they learnt of Isaiah 34;16 (none will lack a mate)long time ago.

Where is this group in this month of love?Are you one of the people who pull them down by the utterances you make concerning their lives?Many of them are being prepared by God for greater responsibilities in His vineyard.How will this young lady nurture the youth in the church that God is preparing to give her if she never went through such a season?Many of these young unmarried people in church have been put there not for their own but so that they serve as an encouragement to many others in that same church.If they fell,many souls would never again trust in God.

In this month of love,purpose to show love to one or two in this group.Invite them for dinner or take them out for coffee.How about treating them special?prov 11;25 tells me  that whoever refreshes others will himself be refreshed!Make an impact in their life by letting them know that you appreciate their service and the way they carry themselves.Others need a genuine embrace!That hug that will replicate love,appreciation,compassion and kindness.Spare some time out of your busy schedule and give them a listening ear.Others only need a shoulder to cry on!sow a seed in your life by being  a blessing in their life as you carefully ensure that what your ears will hear,your mouth will only know it while presenting the issues to the throne of grace.shhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Purpose to show love  by putting  a smile on someones face this February! For  its only by love that we shall be known to be his disciples(John 13;35)
