The Lord Reigns

All of us come from somewhere.We have our roots.Remember those days how our parents whipped us and disciplined us?Remember how sometimes we were denied food(depending on ur parents)?Some of us were shunned from visiting aunts and uncles in the city,whereas others were denied the pleasure of that school trip just because we misbehaved.From that,we would promise to never repeat the mistakes done,to be careful next time.Yes,we learned our lessons. Allow me pose a question here,Who disciplines or moulds grown men and women character?the Swahili people will tell me"asiye funzwa na mamake,hufunzwa na ulimwengu"which when loosely translated means,if you are not chastised by your mother/parents,the world will teach you proper lessons.It is human to make mistakes,but then...what is the action plan once we mess up or step on peoples toes?Better still,who can help us sort the issue and get us back standing without condemning us?Biblically,there are men and women who loved the lord ...

It surprises me how time flies!Just the other day we were celebrating new year and alas,we are almost closing 2017.Have you taken stock of the issues of your life so far and whats the progress?Afew years ago,one of my favorite lecturers told us to always make sure we reflect.Reflection helps in keeping checks over your life.It is through reflection that you are able to make ammends as well as get the motivation to press on with  the things that really matter as far as you are concerned.Better still,through reflection,you call an immediate meeting with yourself,take the minutes,and make referrals where necessary.It is in place of reflection that you swallow your pride,seek for forgiveness to people you have offended as well as make things right with your maker.For how can two walk together unless they agree?
