When The promise Delays

What happens when God promises you so much but nothing seems forthcoming?

What should be the condition of your heart if you have waited on God or rather held on to the promises of God yet He seems not to comethrough?

Does it mean that God is a liar?

Do we assume that the promise was just meant to excite you for a few months then,no manifestation thereof?

How do you prove to the world or even ur peers that indeed you heard from God and that though it tarries,it shall surely come to pass?Where do you draw the confidence of moving on amidst the shame or the discomfort?Seasons have come and gone but you still hold on to God.(Psalms 71;5)

For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.

This  is what brings the difference.That you have hidden the word of God in your heart.That in you theres a solid point of reference,a noncorrupted word of God.The bible says that He has exalted His word above His name(psalm 138;8).

Been pondering on the journey of David and theas a part of his life that awes me.This man David has gone through very many challenges and he has also committed quite a number of sins which seems unforgivable in the human eye,but God in His Greatness chooses to forgive and later calls him aman after His(God)own heart.My emphasis has been on 1st sammuel 22;This man David has the promise with Him,or rather knows that He will be King,He loves God but amidst being a man of God as we'd currently say,Hes moving from caves,to forests and even to  the wilderness.This man moves from the cave of Adullam and imagine the people who accompany him. 

 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him.

² And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.

Think of such a scenario,discontented people,people in debts,distressed people,personally i think this is even more stressing.Theres nothing good about the company that goes with David.It means these people were not happy,issues had pushed them and therefore they were not so to speak sober.In other words they had wandering minds,perhaps thinking of the debts,or whatever had put them in distress and the isues that made them discontented.You realize David chose to be captain over these peopleWho does this surely?who wants to be associated wit anyone who can be auctioned anytime?or fall into depression due to the distress?

From the cave,Remember David is running away from Saul,He goes to the forest of Hareth..Worseoff,he first leaves his parents to Mizpeh...meaning he was very unstable..

When you continue with chapter twenty three,you realize that David later wins the battle.I keep asking myself,what made David Resilient?what pushed him to press on?The bible states that He kept enquiring of God.That despite the challenges,He believed in The God that Called him.

Eventually,The promises of God came to pass.Its true he went through pain,but God fought His battles.As a believer,have you given up on God because He promised and nothing is forthcoming?In anycase,the challenges seem to  have overshadowed the promises?Keep pursuing God,Look up to God,He never Dissapoints.The bible talks of Abraham holding on,looking up to a city whose architect and builder is God.He also went through issues,Actually opting for a child with Haggar,yet God was very particular,that He would bless Sarah with a child..

You could probably be tired of these bible stories and so far you are sayi ng Naomi,you cant understand.I agree,i will actually not understand.But what happens when the foundations are shaken?What happens when you have fasted and prayed,offered sacrifices,done all you could do and nothing is forth coming?Im here to encourage you to wait,yea wait on God.As long as you ant waiting on a human being,then God is a sure deal.Victory is guaranteed.Please dont compromise,i know its 2020 and its been loong since you experienced happiness.,God who is the author of peace,joy happiness and who is able to give you beauty for ashes aint man that He can lie.

Isaiah 48;10 ⁾Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.Its in the furnace of affliction that God has chosen you.It may not make sense now,but God whose understanding no man can fathom knows it all.He knows why hes withheld that marriage partner to you for now.He knows why hes allowed you to be broken that much.He knew you would go through that season of tears and emerge a warrior.Hold on,yes,hold on to God

Whatever it is that you are trusting God for,I pray that you get the grace to pursue Him,to hear Him because at times we focus too much on the challenge untill our ears cant hear God.There are times we give the enemy too much space to poison us.To show us how long its been,how deep weve been hurt,how we have served with diligence yet we got pain in return,how its not worth it.Whatever God says,He follows it to accomplish it.If our only option will be God and If not God,then it must be God.

That we shall be confident of seeing the goodness of God in the land of the living.Purpose to confess it with your mouth.I love one pastor in my church,he keeps telling us to build in the spirit.

Build that marriage in the spirit,yes one day it shall manifest.Bless your life,bless that career,confess having that job,confess carrying that pregnancy to term and holding your own baby in your arms,confess peace in that marriage,confess healing,keep building and standing on the promises of God.

Develop a culture of being honest with God,loving him even when things are going south.Knowing that He who started a good work in you is faithful enough to accomplish it.

Why did Habbakuk choose to trust in the God of His salvation?Verse 19 in chpter three,He says the Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

Choose to walk in faith  this year.

Raise your faith levels,pursue God,and close your ears to evil counsel,wicked men and anything that would make you anxious.You have God besides you,He who watches over you will never sleep nor slumber and besides,The expectations of the righteous shall never be cut off.

Isaih 25;9 has really been an encouragement to me over the past two weeks.see what it says

⁹ And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

If you do not wait on God,will there be a testimony? Purpose to wait,Waiting aint easy but eventually you will experience the salvation of God.

His promises are Yea and Amen,He Who promised is faithful
