When the judge checks in

Its been long since we met,right?Everyone takes time to reflect as well as take a break..i bet this took a month plus for me.Welcome dear reader,hope you have been well. Im sure April was fantastic and that the lord God has kept watch over you.

A week ago,i happened to take a matatu to work,plying the Ngongroad route from town.There are some traits and behavior that you deem so obvious with our colleagues in the psv services.On the fateful morning,i was almost late for work thus had no option but take the bus that came first irrespective of how old or new(Nganya au mzee).I happened to get a seat at the very backseat and as usual,minded my business in scrolling through my phone.Immediately before the back seat on the right,a guy called the conductor  and issued him a phone,which he claimed a lady had left/forgotten as she was alighting.Huh,i craned my neck to see the guy with such a gentle heart...more to that,i really wanted to see what the conductor would do.Immediately he started a conversation just from nowhere..you know how Kenyans we like engaging when a scenario comes up eh,He claimed that he would try his best and look for the owner.He claimed that taking someones phone was in itself a curse"utachukua ache simu ya mtu...hii ni laana,imachine mtu file huteseka pila simu...ntampigia tu"

All along,i followed through the conversations with my eyes.'...apparently,the guy could not unlock the phone and he requested i support.I helped him unlock...you know those tu nokia(Asha)phones the way tracing the numbers and the keys is a real hustle..!Eventually  we managed and tried calling the last call that had been  made that very day.

This to me unveiled another picture that we fail or can never see in a few human beings.it made me come to the realization that we still have good people..Yes,great people still exist.If you were in the capacity of that passenger,what could be your action?

It is important to note that one day,each mans work will be tested.Good or bad...everyone's work will pass through the judge.The judge in this case will be God.In everything that you do,always bear in mind  that you are building on a foundation that was laid by God.You are Gods workmanship...you are a work in progress and as such you need to be accountable of what you do whether good or bad.

1st cor3;13the workmanship of each person will become evident, for the day of judgment will show what it is, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person's action.verse 14 continues to explain how the rewards will be.In this life,many of us are living carelessly or rather without caution.Today someone will despise you or even call you names as if it no longer matters.Worse off,the believers are living compromised lives.Monday to Saturday is business as usual only to put on the garment of salvation on Sunday.You should see how we are the loudest in shouting hallelujah...we are the best in lifting hands when it comes to worship..But the question still remains..If your work is tested,will it stand the fire of God?

Another group of believers are very composed,disciplined but "followers"theirs is to watch as the others work in the vineyard of the lord.These are the people who seat pretty,watch as things go wrong and they will never bother either because they do not want to be blamed for anything or simply because...that work belongs to another person.Well,when their work will be tested,will it stand the fire of God?

Im sure by now you can classify yourself on the category that you fall under.The bible says that some chose to build with gold,silver,expensive stones,wood,hay or straw(ist cor 3;12)The rewards will be very different depending on what you do in the vineyard of the lord and with what motive.Just imagine what happens when hay goes through fire.How about Gold?How are the results in both?

Purpose to serve God with a clean heart.in your work,what are you building with now that you are a steward of Gods creation?as a family man,what are you building with because still...you will be answerable to the judge on what you did to your wife and children.What are you building with in terms of family,relationships,servant leadership as well as a steward?As we approach mid 2017,i pray that the lord stirs your spirit to build using the right materials.
