WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT?

Its that time of the year when all of us are either back at home with our families for the christmas celebrations whilst others opted to remain in the city and celebrate the festive season  there. This is the time when many revisit the resolutions they made as the year approached, evaluating what they accomplished and what they didnt as well as taking stock of what needs to be done better come 2017.
Amid the hustles and bustles of life, the best choice one can make is to learn something from any experience they go through in life.No one is interested in how painful the season was or how beautiful the transition was.We all want to hear the lessons learnt or the impact made or the legacy that has been left for the generations behind us.
In 2016,what have you done that you can confidently brag around your grandchildren that though it was not without challenges, you acquired that  academic certificate, you helped that needy child, you were a blessing to that widow,or you even helped someone trace their bus stop in town(especially in this city where everyone is a stranger and thus entitled to mind their own business).

It is good to ensure that you do not go blindly through a season in life.Eccle 3;1-8 depicts that there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the sun.The lord understands that there is a time for making merry as well as a time for deep sorrow and mourning.I encourage us to ensure that we learn in all of the seasons that we go through in life.At times you will need to change your mind over that business idea, whereas some times you will need to adjust your schedules to allow time for your pastor or home cell meetings.

If you have not learnt anything throughout the entire year, dont kill yourself. There still remains three days for you to do a review  of the whole year on a personal basis.
My 2016 was awesome! Before you throw stones to me since yours was terrible, mine was a great year.I say great because its an year that ave learnt so much that no teacher could train me on the lesons. No university curriculum offers the courses i have undertaken.

As i pack my bags headed for 2017,there's a lesson that i have learnt in 2017.The VALUE OF FRIENDS.
im the type that keeps a handful of friends, but il tell you that this is the year i have learnt how much it means to have genuine friends.Friends that will look me  on the face and tell me Muigai you are wrong, irrespective of how painful it will be,as well as friends that will wipe my tear and tell me girl, the lord reigns,he is working behind the scenes to perfect everything concerning you.
Yes i have learnt to not only VALUE MY FRIENDS but also INVEST IN FRIENDS.
if the lord has aligned people in your life who are not even equivalent to be a blessing but more than that,do not take that for granted.Thank God daily for them and invest in them as well. You never know why the lord has allowed them in your life at such a particular time.If you think its a joke, then you will know the intensity when you peruse your bible and know that Jesus terribly wept when he learnt of his friends death (Lazarus).Yes he wept!

Happy reading!
