WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT?

Its that time of the year when all of us are either back at home with our families for the christmas celebrations whilst others opted to remain in the city and celebrate the festive season  there. This is the time when many revisit the resolutions they made as the year approached, evaluating what they accomplished and what they didnt as well as taking stock of what needs to be done better come 2017. Amid the hustles and bustles of life, the best choice one can make is to learn something from any experience they go through in life.No one is interested in how painful the season was or how beautiful the transition was.We all want to hear the lessons learnt or the impact made or the legacy that has been left for the generations behind us. In 2016,what have you done that you can confidently brag around your grandchildren that though it was not without challenges, you acquired that  academic certificate, you helped that needy child, you were a blessing to that widow,or you even helpe...

WHAT ARE YOUR MOTIVES?

Many a times we tend to take seize an opportunity that comes our way not knowing that choices have consequences.Am amazed to note that this is not only common to us but was also a common thing even in biblical times.Opportunists can be ordinary people as well as kings and queens.Abimelech the king of Gerar was one opportunist. The bible reckons very well that when  Abimelech saw Sarah(Abraham's wife)He sent for her and took her.He wanted to take advantage of her and took her with him.All this time,he thought Sarah was Abraham's sister.Verse 3 in Genesis 20 says that God came to Abimelech in a dream and cautioned him of what he had done. What amazes me most is in verse five.Abimelech told the Lord that his motive of taking Sarah was very clean. The lord responds to him and tells him that He as God knew that as well and that's why he kept him from having sex with him.(vrs 6). This word has ministered so much to my heart and iam as well challenged. Can the lord find you worthy ...
Its very easy to forget humble begginings when faced with a challenge that seems to push you to the wall. The devil will always try to magnify your situation to an extent you wonder whether God cares at all.Today as i recount on the many blessings endowed to me,i want to encourage someone to hold on one more time for the lord is still enthroned on high.Habbakuk 2 tells me that even if the vison seems to tarry/take long, eventually it will come to pass.Besides, the expectations of the righteous will never be cut off(prov23;18).Hold on dear one..the lord is Faithful   https://www.facebook.com/naomi.muigai
